Culzean Way route thoughts: M&D Light Railway terminated at Girvan. This view shows the track bed towards Grangestone industrial estate, which was recently cleared of vegetation to install pipework. This could be enhanced to form a cycle path thus providing a safe and easy to use active travel link between the town and the main employment area. Applications for external funding for active travel routes to places of work are treated favourably by organisations like Sustrans.
Update 2023/24: Work is well advanced to design and create an active travel route from the centre of Girvan to Grangestone industrial estate.
